Diane during a bead-making class at Campbell Folk School. |

Welcome to Di-Fused Glass. The name is a play on my name, Diane, as well as a reference to the two techniques I incorporate into my work. Although a life-long crafter, I chose the military as my first career. After 20-plus years of using the left side of my brain for the Air Force, I knew I wanted to use my creativity in the next phase of my life. In 2001, I took a glass bead-making class at John C. Campbell Folk School and was hooked. I love the challenge of working with molten glass, a very dynamic material. Through the years, I’ve taken classes in Virginia, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina and added kiln-forming, or fusing, to my skills. Now that I am retired, I have moved my studio from the kitchen and am able to focus on my art. |
